Fukuchiyo Shuzo (Nabeshima)

The brewery was founded in 1924 in Kashima City, Saga Prefecture. For the first several decades of its existence, Fukuchiyo operated much like many other rural Japanese breweries of the era:

  • Local Focus: They primarily produced standard, everyday sake (futsu-shu) under the local brand name Kinba (Golden Horse).
