Collection: Morishima Sake Brewery

Morishima Sake Brewery was founded in 1869 and is now led by 6th-generation brewer Shoichiro Morishima, the first in his family certified as a Nambu Toji master brewer. Located near the Pacific Ocean, Morishima creates sake with a bright, juicy character and subtle salinity.

After being destroyed in WWII, the brewery was rebuilt using Oya stone (Green Tuff) — strong, fire-resistant rock that symbolizes resilience. Damaged again in the 2011 Great Tohoku Earthquake, the family chose to restore the original stone brewery instead of relocating.

In 2019, the Morishima brand was launched, bearing the family name and an image of the Oya stone — a symbol of their strength and commitment to crafting distinctive, elegant sake for the future.
