ABOUT 

A Junmai sake with a robust rice taste but also aromatic with a distinctive fruit forward punch on your first sip. The "Iwai" sake rice melts easily in the mash so the taste expression changes from time to time. As the sake is unfiltered, some rice components may remain in the bottle. It is unpasteurized, so you will also sense the lively yeast notes and lingering effervescence. Not simply fragrant or dry; its flavor seeks to maximize the “taste of rice” to create a unique blend of sweet, sour and bitter notes.

SERVING

Ideal in a white wine glass, cool. Pair with appetizers.

Founded in 1726, Matsui Sake Brewery boasts three centuries of history. Located by the side of Kamo River, the brewery owner himself brews sake with a small team.
